Muneeba first pakistani female cricketer to score century in T20 international

CAPE TOWN/ISLAMABAD: Muneeba Ali, left-handed opener became the first Pakistani female cricketer to hit the century in the Women’s T20 World Cup.

Muneeba made 102 scores against Ireland at Newlands in Cape Town on Wednesday.

Pakistan Cricket Board proudly shared this good news on the social media on Thursday.

Muneeba’s century enabled Pakistan to make 165 scores for five after they were sent into bat.

Earlier, Muneeba could not score a half-century in 44 T20 internationals. She, nonetheless, scored a century in one-day international against the same opponents in Lahore in November last year.

Muneeba and Nida Dar (33) shared a third-wicket partnership of 101 in this match.

Muneeba was dropped on 45 in a disappointing Irish fielding performance. Thus, she succeeded in hitting Pakistan’s highest scorer in T20 cricket when she passed the 75 made by Nida Dar in 2019 and then completed record of century.
