Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif denounced the Afghan Border Forces’ unprovoked firing and shelling at the Chaman border.
According to a statement released on Sunday by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), six Pakistani citizens were martyred and 17 others were injured in the attack.
PM Shehbaz Sharif Tweeted: ” Unprovoked shelling & fire by Afghan Border Forces at Chaman resulting in the martyrdom of several Pakistani citizens & injuring more than a dozen is unfortunate & deserves the strongest condemnation. The Afghan Interim government should ensure that such incidents are not repeated.”
Shireen Mazari, the leader of the PTI, Climate Change Minister Sherry Rehman, and other political figures have all denounced the incident’s killing of Pakistani nationals.
According to the foreign office, Such unfortunate events are not consistent with the brotherly ties between the two nations.
“The Afghan authorities have been informed that recurrence of such incidents must be avoided and strictest possible action must be taken against those responsible,” the statement said.
THE INCIDENT
Another attack by Afghan security forces on the border with Chaman resulted in six deaths and numerous injuries.
Afghan forces specifically targeted civilians at the Balochistan border crossing this time.
Injured people and bodies have been transported to the hospital, While an investigation was being conducted to determine the reason for the unprovoked attack by Afghan security forces on civilians at the Chaman border.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the Afghan forces attacked Pakistani civilians with heavy weapons such as mortars and artillery.
