Both accusers have asserted their innocence of the charges, and the court has ordered the prosecution to call the witnesses on December 14.

Suspectโs Mother Sameena Files Acquittal Plea
The mother of Shahnawaz Amir, the primary suspect in the murder of Sarah Inam, filed an acquittal plea from the murder case of Sara Inam, in the session court in Islamabad on Monday.
The petition submitted by Shahnawazโs mother was heard by session judge Ata Rabbani.
Sameena Shah appeared in court along with her Lawyer Nisar Asghar.
Nasir Asghar informed the court that although her client was located at the crime scene, her involvement was not mentioned in the police challan.
โWhen the prosecutionโs case is not against her then she should be discharged from the case,โ Nasir Asghar further told the court.
Sameena should be freed from the case, and the court should take immediate action, the Lawyer Continued.
The defense lawyer for the suspect mother continued, โThere is no evidence against Sameena Shah, in this case, so we are hereby asking the court to acquit her.โ
During the hearing, the session court took a break.
Sameena Shah Arrested
The mother of Shahnawaz Amir, the primary suspect in the murder of Sarah Inam, was detained by the Islamabad Police.
After the court denied Shahโs request for bail, the police detained her.
A district and sessions court in Islamabad renewed Sameenaโs temporary pre-arrest bail in the Canadian nationalโs homicide case on October 1.
After the court on September 26 accepted Sameenaโs pre-arrest bail request against a surety bond of Rs50,000 and ordered her to join the investigation, the bail was increased.
After a disagreement over a family matter on September 23, Shahnawaz is accused of killing his wife Sarah at home.
Shahnawaz admitted to the crime and claimed that he โthoughtโ his wife was having an affair with another person when he was detained by the police from a farmhouse in Islamabadโs Chak Shahzad neighbourhood. Only three months of their marriage were spent together.
In response to Station House Officer (SHO) Nawazish Ali Khanโs complaint, police last month filed a first information report (FIR) under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
The FIR stated that on Friday, September 23, the suspectโs mother, Sameena, called the police to report that her son, Shahnawaz, had killed his wife with a dumbbell.
The FIR states that Sameena informed the police that her son was home and had covered his wifeโs body. The police then searched the residence.
According to the police complaint, Shahnawaz had locked himself in his room and when the staff broke down the door, they found blood stains on his hands and clothing.
According to the FIR, Shahnawaz confessed to hitting his wife repeatedly with a dumbbell during an argument and then concealing the Canadian nationalโs body in the bathtub once the police had Shahnawaz.
Shahnawaz claimed in the FIR that the โmurder weaponโ was stashed beneath his bed.
Police reportedly discovered blood and hair on the dumbbell after inspecting it. Later, they forwarded it to forensics.
