Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporter, Ibtesaam, is being termed a hero after saving the life of party chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan from an assassination attempt.
Ibtesaam, a supporter of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), said on Thursday that he grabbed the attacker in an effort to sabotage his aim. The attacker is accused of shooting at party chief Imran Khan and other leaders.
Ibtesaam told reporters that he was 10 feet away from the container when the shooter loaded his gun and fired once.
“I ran towards him. He had both his hands up while I tried to pull him down. This ruined his aim and he fired downwards,” He said.
Ibtesaam claimed that the attacker attempted to flee after he grabbed the pistol, which then fell to the ground.
“I chased him down and caught him. After that, the police showed up and arrested him,” he claimed.
Ibtesaam reportedly grabbed the attacker’s arm, causing him to miss his shot and aiding in his capture, when he saw him trying to shoot Imran Khan while he was standing close to a PTI container, according to the details.

Jemima Goldsmith, the ex-wife of the former premier, also praised the PTI supporter as a hero.
Ibtesaam, according to businessman Mir Muhammad Ali Khan, was the “hero” who “jumped onto the shooter and grabbed his gun.”
Ibtesaam was attempting to stop the shooter from firing in a video of the incident that was uploaded by Indian news anchor Shubhankar Mishra.
To honour the “hero who jumped in to stop the assassination attempt on Imran Khan,” comedian Jeremy McLellan gave a “shout out.”
