A motorcyclist died after colliding with Imran Khan’s container During the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march in Gujranwala on Wednesday.
According to witnesses, a motorbike travelling in another direction was struck head-on by a container that was travelling on the wrong side of the road.
A motorcyclist named Sameer died immediately as a result of the collision.
The motorbike passenger, whose identity has not been released, was severely injured.
This is the third casualty associated with the container that has been reported.
Party worker Hassan Ali was atop the container on Friday, the first day of the march, as it drove near to Liberty Roundabout.
Hassan was knocked off the top of the container and into the hard asphalt below by a low-hanging tree branch.
He was admitted to the state hospital after suffering severe injuries. He was put on a ventilator, but the following day he passed away from his wounds.
On Sunday, while attempting to interview PTI Chairman Imran, television reporter Sadaf Naeem fell off the container. She was then trampled beneath the container’s wheels.
