LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Naeem Bhatti, husband of female TV reporter Sadaf Naeem, who was crushed to death under the container of Imran Khan during long-march on Sunday, said that the death of his wife was a ‘mishap’.

In his written statement to Sadhoke Police Station near Kamoke, Naeem Bhatti said that the death of his wife Sadaf was only a mishap and he did not want any legal action against anyone (PTI leader or activist).

Naeem Bhatti, who is also a press photographer based in Lahore, informed the police that Sadaf was standing on a divider of road and she fell on the road and subsequently crushed to death under the container in Sadhoke area of GT Road near Kamoke, where the Sunday’s long-march was concluded.

Meanwhile, Punjab chief minister today announced 50 million rupees cash assistance for the family of deceased Sadaf Naeem. Punjab CM Chaudhry Pervez Elahi said the provincial government was look after the family of the deceased TV journalist _ Sadaf Naeem.
TV journalist was working for Channel-5 of Khabrain Group in Lahore, founded by late Zia Shahid.
