ISLAMABAD: The federal government excluded the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) representative from a team 3-member team announced to probe the murder TV anchorperson Arshad Sharif in Kenya.
The reconstituted team consists of only two officials belonging to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Intelligence Bureau (IB).
On Tuesday, the Ministry of Interior formed a three-member team — comprising Lt Col Saad Ahmed of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), FIA director Athar Wahid, and IB deputy director general Omar Shahid Hamid to probe the mysterious murder case.
However, on Wednesday the ministry dropped the name of ISI representative without giving any reason.
“The team will travel to Kenya immediately,” Interior Ministry said and added the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Pakistan’s High Commission in Nairobi, Kenya will assist the team in conducting investigation in Kenya.
Funeral of Arshad Sharif
Meanwhile, wife of slain Arshad Sharif said that the funeral of her husband will be held at Faisal Masjid on Thursday at around 2pm. She urged the people to participate in the funeral to express their solidarity with the family of the deceased. He will be buried in H-11 graveyard in Islamabad on Thursday afternoon.

Also, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital Director Dr Khalid Masud said that an eight-member team of senior doctors performed post-mortem of the deceased.
Dr Masud, Professor SH Waqar, Professor Dr Mumtaz Khan Niazi, Professor Dr Farrukh Kamal, Dr Irshad Hussain, Dr Nasreen Butt, Dr Altaf Hussain and Dr Mohammad Umar Farooq performed the post-mortem.

In a tweet, Sharif’s wife Javeria Siddique said she was present during the process and said the PIMS administration and police had cooperated with her.
She said Sharif’s funeral would be held on Thursday at 2pm in the Shah Faisal Mosque.
