PESHAWAR: To stop the sale of bogus stamp paper and fraud, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has launched an E-stamp paper.
The E-stamp paper was introduced in KP by CM Mahmood Khan, who also declared that it would stop the practice of issuing stamp papers with earlier dates.
He claimed that e-stamp paper aids in settling property disputes and stated that since individuals can now check the stamp paper online, fraud and counterfeiting may be avoided.
How E-stamping is used?
Anyone interested in learning how to use the new e-Stamping system only needs an internet connection. A person must provide information about the area he wants to purchase in order to obtain high-value non-judicial or judicial stamp papers.
The value of the stamp paper the customer requires will be determined automatically by the system. Along with their CNIC numbers, the names of the buyer, seller, and the person from whom the stamp papers will be acquired are entered. In just 15 minutes, the transaction is complete, and the customer receives the e-Stamp paper.
