As the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has been providing its supporter’s projects of national interest, another scam that involves the government has been exposed on Tuesday.
Documents show that the Company gave the contract to people without adequate expertise. With the assistance of NTDC employees, Ms. Netracon falsified records to obtain a contract worth billions of rupees.
In January 2021, NTDC shortlisted 10 businesses; in July 2021, Ms. Netracon was deemed qualified; nevertheless, PEPRA questioned the contract’s transparency.
The records also revealed that the PTI government violated the law when it signed the billion-rupee Tarbela to Tunnel Five Transmission Line contract with the power industry.
The Public Procurement Regulatory Authority allegedly discovered the contract’s flaws, according to the paper.
The memo also stated that it was challenging to execute the critical project on schedule due to NTDC’s shady deal.
