In connection with Sara Inam’s murder, police on Tuesday took a Kalashnikov from Shahnawaz Amir, Ayaz Amir’s son, according to ARY News.
Shahnawaz Amir killed his wife Sara last week by striking her with a dumbbell. He claimed he killed her out of self-preservation.
The residence of Shahnawaz in Chak Shahzad, Islamabad, has reportedly yielded Sara Inam’s handbag, according to the police.
In the deceased’s purse, there were US cash, UAE dirhams, and debit and credit cards. In addition to this, the police squad also found the Mercedes during a search of Shahnawaz’s home.
Sara Inam’s phone and passport have not yet been found by the police.
The defendant allegedly frequently received money from Sara Inam from abroad, according to the police.
In Shahnawaz’s possession, the primary suspect in the case involving Sara Inam, the police also discovered an unregistered Kalashnikov.
Shahnawaz Amir has been arrested in a separate case in PS Shahzad Town following the recovery of a firearm.
