In the previous month, local hospitals handled 7600 gastro patients overall, according to the administration. They continued, listing 10 of the 12 victims as minors.

Asifa, age 8, and Wakeela, age 2, both passed away from gastroenteritis in the Kotdiji taluka of Khairpur. Two children and a woman perished in flood camps in the district’s Faiz Ganj and Nara talukas, while an unidentified three-year-old girl died in Thari Mirwah.
The majority of the doctors at Garhi Khairo hospital had been missing during the flood disaster, it should be noted. According to a hospital source, there are 16 doctors altogether at the facility, but only three to four of them are currently on duty out of the remaining 13 medical staff members.
