In order to help those impacted by the floods, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday issued orders to all federal cabinet members and interested parties to put in extraordinary effort and move to the afflicted districts.
In a brief speech, while leading the federal cabinet meeting, the prime minister said, “I do not expect you to give up your official responsibilities but prioritize providing support to flood-affected individuals.”
The premier claimed that people were highly aware of who was assisting those in need and engaging in politics at this crucial moment. He predicted that one day when they were no longer silent, people would thank those who served them and hold those who practiced politics accountable.
It’s a trying period and our ranks must be united, the Prime Minister added. According to him, individuals who assisted the disaster victims during this trying period will live in their memories forever. He said that “all politicians, army commanders, bureaucrats, and others are aware of the pain of the flood-affected people.”
Speaking about Antonio Guterres’ recent visit to Pakistan’s flood-affected areas, he said the dignitary placed a strong emphasis on doing what is practicable to assist the flood victims.
