France decides to raise Armenia, Azerbaijan clashes before UN security council

According to President Emmanuel Macron’s office, France will bring up the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the UN Security Council. Macron also reiterated his call for both sides to uphold the truce.

After a rapid escalation in hostilities that caused Russia and the United States to plead for calm, Armenia said on Tuesday that at least 49 of its soldiers had been killed in skirmishes along the border with Azerbaijan.

France serves as co-president of the Minsk group, which resolves disputes between Armenia and Azerbaijan, together with the United States and Russia.
