During maintenance, railway track buckle

The already crooked track got even worse when a ballast train, which is used to fix railways and bridges, went off the track and fell on it.

When workers were fixing a section of the ML-2 track near Kotri-Dadu, a ballast train went off the track.

During the safety check, the weak rail broke, sending the ballast train careening off the track.

Maintenance has been put on hold for now because of what happened.

But after a week of delays, the government has again stopped people from making reservations on the trains.

Since the flood water severely damaged the signal system and the railroad tracks on the ML-1 and ML-2 bridges on the Lahore-Sukkur and Karachi sections, there has been no train service for more than three weeks.

Flood water is still on the ML-1 and other parts of the train, making it impossible to start running trains again.

All trains between Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, and Sukkur on the main lines have been canceled.

Customers who had already reserved seats on these trains are getting their money back from the reservation offices.

It is hoped that the government will finish the repairs quickly.
