On Tuesday morning, news spread that a female polio health worker had been attacked by street dogs in Layyah, close to Chowk Azam, during an ongoing anti-polio virus campaign.
In one case, the employee was assaulted while giving a vaccine to a youngster. They hurried her to the hospital, where she received treatment before being transferred back home.
According to recent reports, the district administration in Layyah does not stock the medications needed to euthanize canines. When questioned about the drugs’ unavailability, the municipal committee stated that it had sought their provision but had not heard back from the administration.
