ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Imran Khan has decided to seek immunity against his arrest in a terror case against him. Islamabad police registered a terrorism case against Khan on Sunday night.

PTI lawyer Faisal Chaudhry said the legal team of PTI will file the plea in Islamabad High Court on Khan’s behalf on Monday.
A first information report (FIR) was registered against former prime minister Khan under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) for threatening an additional sessions judge and senior police officers of the Islamabad Police at a rally in the federal capital’s F-9 Park.

Meanwhile, the ministry of interior has demanded permission from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s office to arrest Imran Khan following the registration of the case.
PTI chairman has left his Bani Gala residence and shifted to Lahore or Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to avoid arrest.
However, PTI leader Faisal Vawda said that Khan is still at Bani Gala.
