Monsoon will hit Sindh today, according to a weather report from Karachi

Karachi, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, and other Sindh cities that are low-lying could get flooded if it rains a lot.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department says that another monsoon system will hit Sindh today, while the city is still recovering from the effects of the last rains (PMD). In a notice, the PMD said that moderately strong monsoon currents are likely to hit eastern Sindh on August 5.

Under the influence of this weather system, the advisory said, rain-thunderstorms with a few moderate and isolated heavy falls are likely between August 5 and 9 in Tharparker, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Tando Muhammad khan, Tando Allayar, Hyderabad, Matiari, Thatta, Sujawal, Sanghar, Shaheed Benazirabad, Khairpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Ghotki, Kas

But between August 6 and 9, it will rain in Karachi. During the forecast period, the heavy rain could cause flooding in low-lying areas of Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allayar, Dadu, Jamshoro, and Qambar Shahdadkot.

The PMD says that there will be another monsoon after August 10. This will bring more rain to Karachi.
