People in Balochistan were dying on Monday as the rest of Pakistan was watching political events unfold in Islamabad.
With the deaths of two children in Musakhel and Dera Bugti, the death toll from recent monsoon rains has now reached 104.
At least 104 individuals were died, including women and children, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority.

- 40 men, 30 women and 34 children are among the dead, said the PDMA
- The deaths occurred in Bolan, Quetta, Zhob, Dikki, Khuzdar, Kohlu, Kech, Mastung, Harnai, Qila Saifullah and Sibbi
- 61 people were injured
- 6,068 houses destroyed and damaged across the province
- 4 highways covering 565 km severely affected
- 712 livestock killed
- 197,930 acres of standing crops, solar panels, tube wells and borings damaged
The eastern and northern districts of Lasbela, Pishin, Naseerabad, Sibbi, Bolan, and Qila Saifullah were hit by the rains, according to the most recent sources.
People were urged by the provincial authorities to refrain from needless movement.
In certain regions, the PDMA stated that it was performing relief and rescue operations and distributing vital materials, but residents were still waiting for help.
