Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa (COAS) chaired the 249th Corps Commanders’ Conference held at General Headquarters today (Monday).
The event examined the current state of security in great detail, paying particular attention to external and internal security threats.
During his remarks, General praised the army’s continued counterterrorism efforts and paid homage to the great sacrifices made by officers and soldiers to preserve the safety of citizens.
The COAS also praised the relief efforts of the military units involved in helping those who had been displaced by the country’s recent floods and heavy rains.
The forum underlined the commitment of the Armed Forces to support civil authorities in their efforts to rescue and rehabilitate victims.
