The ruling PML-N was defeated by voters and beaten in a Sunday by-election in central Punjab.

Before House’s vote, PTI insists on Hamza Shahbaz’s resignation, as PTI has a majority in the Punjab Parliament. However, PML-N argues that PTI should not be so certain that it will form a government in Pakistan’s most politically important state.
