Government is going to lower prices of petroleum goods by Rs25 in an attempt to bring assistance to poor.
According to reports, the federal cabinet will be consulted before the reduction is made public. Also, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has asked for advice on how to ease the burden of rising prices on the public.
The day before, PM Sharif had asked for a summary to cut the price of petroleum goods and promised that the government would provide the entire assistance to customers who had suffered because of the increase in gasoline costs.
He said that the people needed a break after going through hard times and asked the ministries of finance and oil to give him a report.
