In a phone call on Wednesday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reaffirmed their “shared goal to further deepen bilateral ties” between the two nations by stepping up their collaboration in a number of areas.
According to the Foreign Office (FO), Bilawal expressed his desire for “regular exchange of high-level visits” to the top US official.

Regarding his conversation with Blinken, Bilawal also tweeted.
“In order to commemorate our relationship’s 75 years, we decided to increase our involvement in trade, energy, health, and security. We must increase business-to-business and person-to-person relationships “added the foreign minister.
In their first face-to-face meeting, which took place on May 18 in New York, Bilawal and the top US official reaffirmed their shared aim for a solid and successful bilateral partnership.
In addition to concentrating on regional security, Secretary Blinken had stated, “We want to focus on the work we’re doing to build our economic and commercial relations between the United States and Pakistan.”
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar was also visited by US Ambassador Donald Blome today, and the two spoke about “matters of common interest.” The FO quoted Khar as reiterating Pakistan’s “commitment to widen and deepen longstanding ties between Pakistan and the US”.
She also underlined the importance of people-to-people ties and congressional engagement. Earlier, she congratulated Blome on assuming the charge as ambassador.
