The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Wednesday disclosed the data on the assets owned by members of Parliament – including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif – for the year 2021.
According to the ECP document, the overall assets owned by Shehbaz Sharif are worth Rs246 million while his property in London is worth Rs130 million. According to the paper, the prime minister has a bank account with Rs2 million in it.
He owes Rs140 million in debt, according to the paper, and has borrowed Rs63.9 million from his son Suleman Shehbaz. “Shehbaz Sharif’s bank account in London is empty,” the document read.
Ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan has assets of Rs142.1 million, according to a document from the ECP, which said that he has inherited properties in Zaman Park, Pakistan, and Mianwali.
The Election Commission of Pakistan says Bushra Bibi, wife of former PM Imran Khan, is richer than her husband. Nusrat Shehbaz, the first wife of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is richer than her husband.
Dawn reports that Imran Khan owns four goats worth Rs. 200,000, according to his 2020 financial filings. His six assets include inherited estates, a residence in Lahore’s Zaman Park, 600 acres of farmland, and non-agricultural land. In 2018, Imran Khan filed 4 goats as assets.
Imran Khan owns no vehicles or properties outside Pakistan, has no investments, and has over 60 million rupees in bank accounts, plus $329,196 and 518 pounds sterling in foreign currency accounts.
Bushra Bibi has 142,11 million rupees, according to the report.
Shehbaz Sharif’s first wife, Nusrat Shehbaz, has 230.29 million rupees and nine agricultural estates.
