Prices for petroleum products will remain constant from June 1 in order to give maximum relief to consumers.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister has instructed that existing petroleum product prices, as announced on May 27, 2022, stay intact in order to give maximum help to consumers, according to a notice released by the Finance Division.
There will be no change in the price of petrol, high-speed diesel (Rs 174.15), jet fuel (Rs 155.56) or light diesel (Rs 48.31) as stated in the announcement issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG).
The government provides a subsidy of Rs 39.32 for gasoline, Rs 53.5 for diesel, and Rs 26.30 for kerosene, according to the Finance Ministry.
The government put price increases for petroleum products in place on May 27 in order to satisfy the terms of an International Monetary Fund (IMF) bailout.
During the most recent conference of the International Monetary Fund, the IMF asked Pakistan to remove all subsidies on petroleum goods and electricity in order to revitalise the programme.
