According to the current World Economic Forum study, Pakistan has risen six spots in the TTDI (International Travel and Tourism Development Index).
A total of 117 nations are represented in the TTDI’s 2021 edition.
As per the index, it ranked nations according to the fundamentals and policies that support the growth of the travel and tourist business in a stable and sustainable manner.
Aftab ur Rehman Rana, the director-general of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation, said that Pakistan has risen from the index’s prior ranking of 89th position in 2019 to 83rd place this year.
It is a remarkable improvement, he said, as Pakistan’s position has risen six places on the worldwide travel and tourism index.
