ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Miftah Ismail said that the Asian Economic Bank (ADB) has always been a strong supporter of Pakistan’s reforms and development programmes.
With the help of ADB Executive Directors Wan Farissan Bin Wan Suleiman and Noor Ahmed, Pakistan’s energy, education, fiscal and debt management, and socioeconomic development were all addressed during the meeting on Tuesday, the minister acknowledged the long-standing partnership and the ADB’s firm commitment as a major development partner.
In an effort to restore the economy on a path of inclusive and sustainable growth, he stated that the government is working on a number of structural changes.
Director-level bank officials spoke during the event, sharing their commitment to supporting Pakistan’s reform programme in the areas of public infrastructure as well as the broader social and financial sectors.
There were no doubts about the bank’s commitment to supporting the country’s development goals.
