Earlier this week, the PTI said that it has decided to take legal action against Chief Election Commissioner Raja Sikandar Sultan before the Supreme Judicial Council.
One of Pakistan’s most powerful political parties had lost faith in the country’s Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Fawad Chaudhry remarked.
During a press conference with PTI politician Faisal Vawda outside Pakistan’s Electoral Commission, Chaudhry said that the “largest cause behind the political crisis in Pakistan is the election commission being non-functional as an institution. Pakistan is suffering because of it.”
He stated that institutions fail to “keep a balance in the country” because selections are not based on merit.
