Bilawal Bhutto will take the oath of office today

akistan’s Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb had promised that PPP Chairman Asif Ali Zardari will swear to stand by the constitution of Pakistan when he returned home

KARACHI: Today (Wednesday), PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will take his oath of office as a federal minister and is expected to be nominated as Pakistan’s foreign minister.

An official news conference was held by Bilawal after the PPP Central Executive Committee met on Tuesday (CEC). The news comes after Prime Minister’s Adviser on Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs Qamar Zaman Kaira announced last week that his party’s chairman will take oath within two days.

Despite being there, Bilawal did not take the oath of office with the first group of federal cabinet members. However, Pakistan’s Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb had promised that PPP Chairman Asif Ali Zardari will swear to stand by the constitution of Pakistan when he returned home.

Shehbaz Sharif’s chief of staff, Kaira, told media in London that Bilawal had departed Pakistan following two meetings with him to discuss political issues.

In today’s news conference, Bilawal remarked that Imran Khan’s “foreign conspiracy” narrative had a negative impact on Pakistan’s worldwide image.

His “conspiracies” continue as he shifts from the judiciary to the Election Commission of Pakistan, Bilawal warned (ECP).

According to the PPP chair, former deputy speaker Qasim Suri and President Arif Alvi were all taking part in the “plot” with Khan, who he alleged violated Pakistan’s Constitution.

He hoped that the night before the vote on a resolution to remove the prime minister from office be probed.

“Imran Khan’s politics are built on a foundation of deception and slander. “Why didn’t you save me?” is the slogan he’s using in his campaign. The institutions that failed to “rescue” him are the ones he is going after, “the chair of the PPP party claimed.

In a statement, Bilawal accused Khan of making “all the institutions of Pakistan contentious” and urged them to continue operating within their constitutional bounds.

“Charter of Democracy (CoD) II” and not “the passing of ministries” were the subject of the meeting between the PML-N supremo and Bilawal, according to Bilawal.
