ISLAMABAD: Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) today announced full support for the PDM in the upcoming no-trust move against Prime Minister Imran Khan. BAP holds five seats in the National Assembly.
A day earlier, Jamhoori Watan Party MNA and SAPM (Special Adviser to Prime Minister) Shahzain Bugti announced support for the PDM in a joint press conference with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and other leaders in Islamabad.
BAP Parliamentary Leader Khalid Magsi said that his party would support the Opposition’s no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
“We want the country to be handled in a better manner and we also want some issues to be resolved amicably,” the BAP leader said while addressing a press conference along-side Opposition’s bigwigs โ PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, PDM chief Moulana Fazlur Rehman, PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.

The political setback comes just a day after Special Assistant to PM (SAPM) on Reconciliation and Harmony in Balochistan and Jamhoori Watan Party leader Shahยญzain Bugti parted ways with the government to support the Opposition.
Reports of a rift are also surfacing in the PML-Q ranks as Federal Minister for Housing and Works Tariq Bashir Cheema has resigned and decided to vote against PM Imran Khan as Chaudhary Pervez Elahi has accepted PTI’s offer to become chief minister of Punjab in place of Usman Buzdar.
The government seems to be in trouble after the JWP, BAP, and Tariq Bashir Cheema’s announcements, the ruling party has lost support of seven votes โ at a time when every vote counts.
However, BAP leader and Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal has not parted ways with the government and she will vote against the no-confidence motion.
Meanwhile, Opposition leaders โ Fazlur Rehman, Shehbaz Sharif, Asif Zardari, and Bilawal Bhutto โ thanked the BAP leader to announce support for the no-trust motion.
The Opposition leaders are still claiming support of more than 172 MNAs for the no-trust move against PM Imran Khan.
