ISLAMABAD: The ruling party, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf and Opposition parties in the PDM are getting ready for a decisive show of public strength in Islamabad. PTI is holding one million people’s rally in Islamabad tomorrow (March 27) while opposition parties are scheduled to organise their combined rally on March 28 in the capital city of Pakistan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had already announced that he will give a ‘surprise’ to the opposition on March 27 and political analysts are still clueless to the possible surprise of PM Khan.
Meanwhile, PM Imran Khan today straightened his guns towards Nawaz Sharif and the Election Commission of Pakistan. He claimed that on his return from London, Nawaz Sharif will attack army, judiciary while he was already controlling affairs of the ECP.
Prime Minister said that the ECP was already standing with former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and he [Sharif] will attack army and judiciary if he returned from London.
He also made mockery of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman by asking the charged crowd of the rally if diesel prices have decreased in Kamalia or not.
Imran Khan also ridicules PML-N president by saying, “Shehbaz Sharif starts polishing shoe wherever he finds one.”
The PM said the dissident members of his party were returning to their old fold after looking at the faces of these three people.
PM Imran said that the ECP is with Nawaz Sharif, adding that the fugitive will return to Pakistan from London once his corruption cases ended. He said that the former PM will not let the independent judiciary work.
He said that efforts of the ‘three mice’ to topple his government were focused on evading the huge corruption cases and declared that he would not spare them if his life was at stake.
“Losing a government is a minor thing, I will not spare you (referring to opposition leaders), if my life is at stake,” he said.
He appealed to all Pakistanis to reach Islamabad for the March 27 public gathering as the opposition was giving millions of rupees to the member of the National Assembly to switch sides to topple his government.
On the other hand, PML(N) and JUI(F) rallies also started their inflation march towards Islamabad today.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz said that the no-confidence motion has been succeeded and they were going Islamabad to say ‘goodbye to Khan’.
She said that PML(N) convoy was being welcomed everywhere and the no-confidence motion has been succeeded.
She further said that this country, people and institutions belong to Nawaz Sharif and the PML-N supremo is good for everyone, adding that the government is holding rallies by using state’s resources.
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz said that the gathering of the people on the way is overwhelming. He said that one no-confidence motion is in the National Assembly, while a no-confidence motion has been filed by the people on the streets.
The opposition leader said that he has heard reports Punjab assembly being dissolved by the government, adding that their legs were shaking. “We have prepared plans for Punjab too and won’t let the government run,” he said.
