On March 06 or 07, the long march of the People’s Party against the federal government is expected to reach Islamabad, as per reliable sources.
Party sources said that the long march would begin at noon on February 27 at the Quaid’s tomb in Karachi.
Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah, a stalwart of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), would welcome the participants of the long march at night.
According to reports, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will speak at a public gathering in Sukkur.
During the night of February 28th, the long march will rest at Rahim Yar Khan before continuing to Multan on the morning of March 1. Yousaf Raza Gillani, a former Pakistani prime minister, will lead the march in Multan.
According to the sources, the long march will arrive at Chichawatni on March 2nd. “The PPP has planned to assemble one-hundred thousand people in Chichawatni,” party insiders say.
According to reports, the march would move on to Lahore on March 3 after spending the night in Chichawatni.
There will be a large gathering in Lahore on March 4 for a protest march that will travel to Wazirabad and remain there until March 5, sources said.
As per the sources, the long march of the PPP would arrive in Gujar Khan on March 5 and proceed to Islamabad the next day, on March 6.
When the PPP arrives in Islamabad, ANP’s leader Mian Iftikhar has said that his party will take part in the long march.
