Islamabad Airport: Passengers bound for Kuala Lumpur Unloaded

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) immigration deported the passengers from the PIA aircraft PK-894 to Kuala Lumpur because they had insufficient travel documentation.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) passengers destined for Kuala Lumpur were forced to disembark at Islamabad International Airport because of insufficient travel papers, according to ARY News.

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) immigration deported the passengers from the PIA aircraft PK-894 to Kuala Lumpur because they had insufficient travel documentation, according to reports.

Passengers who were forced to stay back staged a demonstration and chanted slogans in the International departure area.

The PIA administration met with the protesting passengers and after negotiations, the passengers agreed to end the demonstration.

In other news, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) made an arrest at Islamabad International Airport last week after finding 850 grammes of hashish in the possession of a passenger going for Doha. The narcotics were found hidden in the walnuts in his luggage.

A case against the man has been registered under the anti-narcotics act, while further investigation was underway.
