ISLAMABAD: An initial medical report on jailed former prime minister Imran Khan has been submitted to the Supreme Court of Pakistan, sources said on Monday. A team of specialist doctors conducted a detailed examination at Adiala Jail, where Khan remains in custody.
According to the report, doctors observed significant improvement in his right eye following treatment at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences. Medical experts estimated that vision in the affected eye has recovered by around 70 percent after ongoing care.
Sources said the specialist panel expressed satisfaction with the recovery and recommended continued monitoring and treatment. The findings were also shared with senior members of Khanโs party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, as well as his family.
Court Proceedings and Leak Claims
Following the submission, attention shifted to related legal proceedings. Sources indicated that details of a report prepared by a โfriend of the courtโ surfaced in media coverage, sparking questions about confidentiality. However, officials have not issued any formal confirmation regarding the alleged leak.
Meanwhile, no official statement has been released by the court or government authorities about the contents of the submitted medical report. Legal observers expect the Supreme Court to review the findings before determining any further action.
The development comes amid ongoing legal battles involving the former premier, with his health remaining a key issue raised by supporters and legal counsel. For now, authorities have limited public information to preliminary medical findings while maintaining silence on procedural details.
