Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir held high-level meetings with global leaders during his official visit to Germany from February 12 to 14. He attended the 62nd Munich Security Conference and engaged with senior political and military officials. During the conference, Field Marshal Asim Munir interacted with several international dignitaries. He met United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio to discuss matters of mutual interest. As part of his official engagements, the Chief of the Army Staff met senior German authorities. He called on Alexander Dobrindt, Federal Minister of the Interior of Germany. He also met Gรผnter Sautter, Foreign and Security Policy Adviser to the German Chancellor. In addition, he held talks with General Carsten Breuer, Chief of Defence of the German Armed Forces.
These meetings focused on contemporary security issues. Leaders discussed bilateral defence cooperation and strategic collaboration. Moreover, they underlined the importance of promoting global peace through dialogue. They supported both bilateral and multilateral engagement frameworks.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also met Admiral Renato Rodrigues de Aguiar Freire, Chief of the Joint Staff of the Brazilian Armed Forces. Both sides discussed avenues for enhancing bilateral military cooperation. They reviewed existing collaboration and explored future opportunities.
Additionally, General Rodolph Haykal, Commander of the Armed Forces of Lebanon, called on the Field Marshal. During the meeting, they discussed regional security developments. They also examined measures to strengthen defence collaboration between their respective armed forces.
As a result, these engagements expanded Pakistanโs defence diplomacy outreach.
