LAHORE โ Sajjad Mehdi, the son of celebrated ghazal maestro Mehdi Hassan, passed away on Monday in Lahore after suffering a severe heart attack. His sudden death has left family, colleagues, and admirers across the country in deep grief.
According to family sources, Sajjad Mehdi had been battling a heart condition for some time. On Monday, he complained of severe chest pain and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite receiving urgent medical attention, doctors confirmed that he suffered a fatal cardiac arrest and could not be revived. The sudden nature of his death has shocked both his family and colleagues.
Sajjad Mehdi was serving as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in the Punjab Police.
