Lahore officials have issued a high-security warning after an explosion targeted a Dera Ismail Khan police mobile on Wednesday. Authorities described the incident as serious and ordered citywide vigilance.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran directed all field officers to strengthen security at entry and exit points. He instructed personnel to remain alert and carefully inspect vehicles and individuals passing through checkpoints.
Additional staff have been deployed to sensitive and public areas. Police patrols and mobile inspections have been increased to ensure immediate response in case of further threats.
Dolphin squads and the Police Response Unit (PRU) have been placed on high alert to react quickly to any security incident. Officials also enhanced surveillance around markets, government offices, and critical installations.
Authorities advised citizens to stay cautious and comply with police instructions during emergencies. The public has been asked to report any suspicious activity immediately.
The Lahore administration confirmed that security measures will remain heightened until further notice. The alert aims to prevent further attacks and safeguard civilians and vital infrastructure.
