A recent prank video by a Lahore-based YouTuber has sparked widespread criticism and serious concerns about the conduct and professionalism of uniformed police officers seen participating in the staged incident.
In the viral clip, the YouTuber, identified as Sikandar, is seen contacting officers from a local police checkpoint and requesting them to carry out a fake “raid” on the apartment of his brother and friends. Shockingly, the officers agreed and accompanied him to the location, some visibly armed.
The footage shows the officers entering the flat alongside Sikandar, who directed them throughout the staged operation. Acting on his cues, the policemen slapped the youths present and levelled fabricated allegations of gambling. They repeatedly threatened to take the individuals to the police station, causing distress and panic among those unaware that the entire incident was a prank.
Throughout the episode, the YouTuber can be seen filming the fake raid for content creation, while the officers fully cooperated, treating the situation as entertainment rather than maintaining their professional boundaries.
The video has triggered intense backlash on social media, with many users questioning how officers entrusted with public safety could participate in an unethical and misleading stunt. Commentators highlighted that such actions not only undermine the credibility of the police force but also trivialise the trauma associated with real raids and arrests.
Critics also raised concerns over the misuse of police authority, particularly the physical assault—slapping the youths—and the issuing of false threats and accusations, all of which violate both ethical standards and legal boundaries.
Many observers demanded accountability from the police department, asking whether officers are allowed to appear in prank videos and why no immediate disciplinary action has been initiated.
As of now, authorities have not issued any statement or clarification regarding the involvement of the officers or any inquiry into the incident, leaving the public awaiting official action.
