As temperatures drop across the province, Sindh’s Directorate of Private Institutions has introduced a major winter relaxation for schoolchildren. The department has instructed all private schools to stop enforcing strict jacket colours or winter uniform designs. This decision aims to reduce financial stress on families and ensure children stay warm without facing unnecessary restrictions.
Students Allowed to Wear Any Warm Clothing
The official notification confirms that students may wear any warm jacket or clothing during the winter season. The directive clearly states that schools cannot force children to purchase specific winter uniforms. This move ensures that parents can choose warm and affordable options for their children without being tied to costly, school-designated winter gear.
Education Authorities Prioritise Student Comfort
According to the Directorate, student comfort and wellbeing remain the top priorities during the cold months. Therefore, schools cannot set rules regarding jacket colours, patterns, or fabric types. Officials noted that any attempt to impose restrictions or pressure families into buying particular items will lead to action against the school.
Government Focuses on Reducing Parental Burden
Sindh’s education leadership also highlighted that the new directive is designed to ease the financial load on families. Winter uniforms often become an added seasonal expense, and many families struggle to manage the extra cost. By removing these requirements, the administration intends to promote flexibility and comfort for all students.
Clear Warning Issued to All Private Schools
Authorities have warned institutions that strict enforcement of winter uniforms will not be tolerated. Schools must allow children to choose what keeps them warm, regardless of colour or design. The directive applies to every private school across the province and must be followed throughout the winter.
