CDA Invites Global Firms for Landmark Project
Preparations to build Islamabad’s first seven-star hotel are now complete as the city gears up to host the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. According to a report by 24NewsHD, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has formally invited international companies to participate in the development of this flagship hospitality project.
Officials confirmed that the luxury hotel will be constructed in the Red Zone under a public-private partnership or a joint venture with global firms. The project aims to elevate Islamabad’s hospitality standards to meet international expectations for high-profile diplomatic events.
World-Class Facilities Planned for Red Zone
The proposed seven-star facility will include state-of-the-art conference halls, seminar rooms, banquet halls, luxury suites, and high-end amenities designed for distinguished international guests. CDA also plans to equip the hotel with multi-storey parking and a modern security system, ensuring it complies with global safety and operational standards.
To accelerate development before the SCO summit, a global tender has been issued to hire an experienced international firm for the execution of the project.
The government had earlier announced similar expansion plans for Islamabad’s hospitality sector, with initial considerations for a location near Srinagar Highway. The latest move indicates a fast-tracked effort to establish a world-class hotel that will strengthen Pakistan’s capability to host major international events.
