Lahore Police have taken into custody three women _ a mother and her two daughters, who attacked a polio vaccination team. The incident occurred in the Kot Lakhpat area in Lahore. The attack left a female polio worker injured, prompting police action.
According to SP Model Town, the incident occurred yesterday on Chandra Roy Road during an ongoing vaccination drive. The accused, identified as Samina Bibi and her daughters, reportedly attacked members of the vaccination team without provocation.
Polio Worker Injured During Attack
During the altercation, polio worker Saba Taj was hit on the head with a brick, resulting in injuries. She was given medical assistance following the attack, and her condition has been reported as stable.
Case Registered and Investigation Underway
A case has been formally registered against Samina Bibi and her daughters under relevant sections of the law. Police have stated that further investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the assault and ensure accountability.
