A first-year student of Government College Women University (GCWU) attempted suicide after receiving low marks in her exams. According to a university spokesperson, 19-year-old Zainab jumped from the stairs of the university in distress over her poor results.
Rescue 1122 teams responded immediately and shifted her to Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital in Sialkot. Hospital officials confirmed that her condition is stable and she is receiving proper treatment.
Meanwhile, in another tragic incident, a young girl took her own life after being denied permission to go shopping in Faisalabad. The incident took place in Chak No. 537-BD, where the family was preparing for a wedding scheduled for November 1, 2025.
Family and Police Confirm Details
The deceased, identified as Asnia, daughter of Ghafoor, became upset after her family went to Jaranwala for wedding shopping without her. In a moment of despair, she shot herself. Police completed the required legal formalities and handed over the body to the family for burial.
