LAHORE: The Punjab government has announced winter school timings for schools _ public and private institutions. The schedule will remain effective from October 16, 2025, to March 31, 2026. The updated timing aims to ensure student comfort during the winter season.
Timings for Single-Shift Schools
According to the official notification, single-shift male schools will operate from 8:45 AM to 2:45 PM from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, classes will end early at 12:30 PM. Female single-shift schools will open slightly earlier, running from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM during weekdays and closing at 12:15 PM on Fridays.
Schedule for Double-Shift Schools
For double-shift institutions, male schools will hold morning sessions from 8:45 AM to 12:45 PM between Monday and Thursday. On Fridays, the morning shift will end at 12:30 PM. The afternoon or evening sessions will start at 1:00 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM on regular days, while Friday classes will run from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Timings for Female Double-Shift Schools
Female double-shift schools will follow a similar timetable. Morning shifts will operate from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM from Monday to Thursday and will end at 12:15 PM on Fridays. Afternoon shifts will start at 12:45 PM and conclude at 4:45 PM on regular days. On Fridays, these schools will function from 1:45 PM to 4:45 PM.
Implementation and Compliance
All school administrations have been directed to follow the revised schedule strictly. The Education Department will monitor compliance to ensure smooth operation across Punjab.
