The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has successfully dismantled a large-scale online job scam network operating under the guise of a training and employment institute.
According to an NCCIA spokesperson, the agency carried out a targeted operation at a private school located on Bosan Road, resulting in the arrest of eight suspects involved in defrauding citizens of millions of rupees.
The arrested individuals were identified as Abdul Ghaffar — the alleged mastermind — along with Nisar Ahmed, Muawiya, Huzaifa Tanveer, Hammad Hasan, Asad Saleem, Khalid, and Zain Abbas.
The suspects were running a fraudulent setup under the name Natural Life Skill Training Institute, where they lured job seekers with false promises of online employment and professional development programs.
Victims were tricked into paying substantial registration and training fees, believing they would secure legitimate remote jobs after completing the courses.
Investigators revealed that the network relied heavily on digital communication channels, particularly WhatsApp and Telegram, to operate their scheme.
During the operation, authorities confiscated multiple mobile phones, laptops, and other digital devices containing incriminating evidence, including records of financial transactions and online chat groups used for blackmail and deception.
An official statement confirmed that a First Information Report (FIR) No. 252/2025 has been filed under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 and relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). The NCCIA emphasized its continued commitment to tracking and prosecuting cybercriminals who exploit citizens through digital fraud.
Further investigations are underway to identify additional accomplices and recover funds obtained through fraudulent means. The agency urged the public to verify the legitimacy of online job offers and training programs before sharing personal information or making payments to prevent similar scams in the future.
