PUBG Mobile has launched its Version 4.0 update, creating a stir among Android and iOS players worldwide. With nearly 4GB of new content, the update introduces a variety of seasonal events, gameplay improvements, and creative features designed to keep both casual and competitive players engaged.
The update brings a particularly spooky twist to familiar maps, providing a Halloween-themed experience that will run until November 4.
A central highlight of the update is the Spooky Soiree, which transforms Erangel, Livik, and Rondo into ghostly playgrounds. Players can summon Ghostie, a personal ghost companion with customizable abilities like Floating Balloon, Guardian Shield, and Heal.
Eliminated players can return as Prankster Ghosts, deploying tricks such as bombs and scans to disrupt ongoing matches. Adding to the eerie atmosphere, the Wraithmoor Mansion on Erangel and Livik features haunted interiors, mirrors, spectral NPCs, and hidden loot. Scaredy Ghosts, objects disguised as phantoms, drop supplies once revealed, and the Performing Dead concert stage brings spectral rock music along with hidden rewards.
Version 4.0 also introduces quirky new transport options, including the Magic Broom, a flying vehicle for two, and the Haunted Sight feature, which spices up aiming with spooky animations.
Seasonal checkpoints like the Moonlight Festival and Day of Gathering offer healing items such as Mid-Autumn Mooncakes and Chocolate buffs, adding a festive twist to matches.
The update significantly expands content for creators through World of Wonder 1.0, offering a $10 million prize pool, a new WOW Pass, and revenue-sharing incentives for budding designers.
Competitive players benefit from Metro Royale Chapter 28, which includes Solo 1v1 duels, Ghost Crates, and Weekend Market events, while Classic Mode introduces new weapons, improved reloading mechanics, and Erangel’s Lipovka map gets additional features like swings and a Ferris wheel.
September also brings Kaiju-themed battles, cinematic glider entries, and the new UNFAIL asymmetrical five-player escape mode. Ranked players can access Cycle 9 Season 26 rewards, the Firearm Combat Power system, and Path of Glory honors with exclusive titles and animations.
At 3.93GB on iOS, PUBG Mobile 4.0 is one of the most content-packed updates in recent years, combining ghostly events, creative incentives, and gameplay enhancements, reaffirming its global popularity.
