Commendation for Troops and Civil Administration
Field Marshal Asim Munir praised the dedication of Pakistan Army troops engaged in rescue operations. He appreciated their close coordination with civil administration in conducting large-scale relief activities. He emphasized that their timely efforts have significantly minimized potential loss of life and property.
Addressing the troops directly, the Army Chief lauded their high morale, operational readiness, and unwavering commitment to serve the nation during natural disasters.
Assurance to Sikh Community in Kartarpur
During his visit, the Field Marshal interacted with members of the Sikh community in Kartarpur. He assured them that all places of worship damaged by the floods, including Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, would be restored to their original state without delay.
He reiterated that protecting the rights and worship places of minorities is the responsibility of the state. He reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to honor this responsibility with sincerity and dedication.
The Sikh community warmly welcomed his assurance, expressed gratitude for his visit, and acknowledged the active role of the Pakistan Army and civil authorities in assisting them during these challenging times.
Aerial Survey and On-Ground Interaction
Field Marshal Asim Munir conducted an aerial survey of Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur to assess the scale of flood damage. He also met with representatives of the civil administration and commended their timely actions that prevented greater devastation.
He highlighted the importance of continued coordination between the military and civil institutions to ensure effective relief operations and better preparedness for upcoming rain spells.
