ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, Shibli Faraz, was hospitalized late last night after experiencing severe chest pain.
He was immediately taken to the Peshawar Institute of Cardiology (PIC), where he received medical care.
A hospital spokesperson confirmed that Faraz was admitted with symptoms indicating cardiac discomfort, and has been placed under 24-hour observation for continuous monitoring.
According to hospital sources, his condition has stabilized, and he remains under treatment. A team of specialist doctors is expected to convene today to conduct further tests and determine a definitive diagnosis and treatment plan.
Meanwhile, political leaders and supporters from his party have extended their well wishes, expressing hopes for his speedy and complete recovery.
