Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Saudi Arabia for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. He is accompanied by a high-level delegation.
During the visit, PM Shehbaz is scheduled to hold key talks with the crown prince, focusing on expanding bilateral cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, regional peace, security, and the welfare of the Muslim Ummah.
According to a statement issued by Pakistan’s Foreign Office on Thursday, “The prime minister will also convey Pakistan’s appreciation to the Saudi leadership for its positive role in easing recent tensions between Pakistan and India.”
The visit comes as Saudi Arabia hosts Hajj pilgrims and prepares to celebrate Eid ul Adha, observed in the Kingdom tomorrow.
This trip highlights the longstanding and robust ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, grounded in shared religious values, mutual respect, and a strategic partnership.
It also reflects the mutual desire to deepen economic and diplomatic engagement—supporting both Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Pakistan’s national development agenda.
“The prime minister’s visit is expected to further strengthen Pakistan-Saudi relations and pave the way for broader cooperation across multiple sectors,” the Foreign Office added.
