Seven terrorists affiliated with the Indian-backed group Fitna al-Hindustan were eliminated in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted by security forces in Balochistan on Monday, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released Tuesday.
The first operation took place in the Mach area of Kachhi district, where troops engaged suspected terrorists based on credible intelligence. โDuring the operation, Pakistani forces effectively targeted the terroristsโ location. Following a fierce exchange of fire, five Indian-sponsored militants were neutralized,โ the ISPR reported.
A second operation was carried out in the Margand area of Kalat district, where another hideout of Fitna al-Hindustan was discovered. Two more terrorists were killed during the raid.
The military also recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosives from both locations. The ISPR noted that the militants were involved in a series of terror attacks in the region.
โPakistanโs security forces remain resolute in their mission to eradicate Indian-sponsored terrorism and will continue to bring the perpetrators and their facilitators to justice,โ the ISPR stated.
Authorities have consistently blamed Fitna al-Hindustan, allegedly operating under Indian direction, for orchestrating multiple acts of terrorism in Balochistan.
Tensions between Pakistan and India escalated further following a recent attack in Khuzdar, where a powerful explosion near Zero Point targeted a school bus. The blast resulted in the deaths of five individuals, including three children, and left many others injured. The incident drew nationwide condemnation and concern from the international community.
In response, Interior Secretary Captain (retd) Khurram Muhammad Agha declared on May 23 that Pakistanโs retaliation against the Khuzdar attack would be “decisive,” vowing that the terrorists behind it would not achieve their aims.
