At least three terrorists affiliated with the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), identified as an Indian proxy group, were killed in two separate security operations in Balochistan, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday.
The first operation was an intelligence-based raid in the Gishkur area of Awaran District, conducted following reports of Indian-sponsored terrorist presence. Security forces engaged the militants in a heavy exchange of fire, during which one terrorist, identified as Younas, was killed and two others were injured.
In a separate encounter in Turbat City, Kech District, security forces eliminated two more individuals identified as Indian-backed militants. The ISPR named them as Sabr Ullah, a known terrorist ringleader, and Amjad alias Bichoo.
During these operations, a cache of weapons, explosives, and ammunition was recovered from the militants. The ISPR stated that those killed had been actively involved in attacks against law enforcement agencies and the targeted killing of civilians.
Sanitisation efforts are ongoing in the surrounding areas to ensure no remaining threats. The security forces reaffirmed their commitment to countering attempts by Indian-sponsored groups to destabilize peace and development in Balochistan.
These operations follow heightened tensions between Pakistan and India, particularly after last month’s deadly incident in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), where 26 tourists were killed. India, without providing evidence, blamed Pakistan for the attack, escalating military tensions.
Earlier this month, seven Pakistani soldiers were martyred in an IED attack in Mach, Balochistan, attributed to the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), another group reportedly supported by India’s intelligence agency, RAW. Intelligence sources have warned of increased activity by Indian proxies aimed at inciting violence in the region.
