ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday held a telephonic conversation with Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf to inform him of India’s ongoing provocative and unilateral actions against Pakistan.
According to official sources, Dar briefed Attaf on the escalating situation, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to peace and regional stability. In response, the Algerian foreign minister urged both Pakistan and India to de-escalate tensions through dialogue and reaffirmed Algeria’s readiness to support efforts aimed at maintaining peace in the region.
Separately, Dar also spoke with Afghanistan’s Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, apprising him of the same developments. Dar reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to peaceful coexistence and sovereignty, while Muttaqi appreciated Pakistan’s role in facilitating bilateral trade and travel.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with recent progress in Afghanistan–Pakistan relations. Muttaqi renewed his invitation for Dar to visit Kabul and extended best wishes to the government and people of Pakistan.
